Born in Mississippi and raised in Statesboro, Georgia, Dr. Yoon has his roots in the South. Fascinated by the hands-on aspect, his interest in dentistry began as a teenager. Dr. Yoon is a proud alumnus of the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). Dr. Yoon received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University (formerly Medical College of Georgia). While in dental school, Dr. Yoon became interested in treating patients with complex dental conditions and decided to continue his studies even further. Dr. Yoon completed a three-year residency program in Advanced Prosthodontics at the Dental College of Georgia. During his residency, Dr. Yoon received advanced education in removable and fixed prosthodontics, esthetics, implants, occlusion, and rehabilitation of patients with complex dental conditions. Dr. Yoon also receive extensive training in technical aspects of dental laboratory technology. In addition to serving as chief resident, he taught denture concepts and techniques to dental students as a resident faculty. Since 2018, Dr. Yoon has been in private practice in the metro Atlanta area, specializing in Removable and Implant Prosthodontics.
In his free time, Dr. Yoon enjoys traveling and trying new cuisines with his wife. He also enjoys watching history documentaries and taking their mix-breed dog “Indy” on long walks.
